I plan to determine if it is worth implementing more technology into the curriculum of my developmental algebra course to help students better understand the math basics given the limited time, limited resources, and varied demographics of my college classroom.
Who: Developmental Algebra students in the community college course that I teach
What: the value of using more technology in my class to reinforce the basics given class history and current obstacles
Why: To measure the impact of technology on student learning and understanding.

I love this idea! Especially if you can some how include real world application of it. I believe any time you can incorporate technology into a subject/ class there can only be good things that come of it!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mike, this is a wonderful idea! Naturally I can imagine that technology will only bring positive effects but yet again, will it increase their knowledge given the short period of time we have with a class? I cannot wait to find out what your results show.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can take two classes and do a comparative experimental design?

I also agree, what a great idea!!! I look forward to the information and ideas you can come up with!!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!

Integrating technology into a math class is like peanut butter and jelly, they go together so well, but yet the combinations are infinite. Great concept, good luck with the research.
